Why This Design Works
Large caravans require significantly more clearance than a standard vehicle, making correct engineering essential.
For this project, we designed a six-post free standing structure that provides maximum strength while maintaining generous access around the caravan.
One of the standout features is the continuous side shade, which helps block the harsh afternoon sun and driving rain that would otherwise enter from the side.
To further improve performance, we incorporated a reinforced cable pocket running diagonally through the centre of the sail. This strengthens the middle section, helping maintain tension and reducing movement across the large span.
